Apple Tart Recipe using Puff Pastry

This is a Puff Pastry Apple Tart which is elegant yet delicious in savoring fresh apples’ autumnal flavors. Guaranteed effort minimal and flavor maximal! Butter, flakiness, and caramelized apple will be put into a pattern of elegance and simplicity for dessert or an extra sweet quick breakfast.

Ingredients Needed :

  • 1 frozen sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 to 4 apples, cut up small pieces, such as Honeycrisp or Gala and Granny Smith
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar, or whatever your heart will do as sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves, or honey
  • Sprinkled salt on both sides of the little bit
  • Brushed lightly with melted butter. This is optional for a richness in browning of good stuff.

Steps to follow

1. Roll out puff pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out slightly. Put it on the prepared baking sheet. Score a 1-inch border around the edges of the pastry with a knife, but do not cut all the way through – this will give you puffy edges when you bake it.

2. Prepare Apples: Slice the apples 1/8 inch in thickness so that they cook evenly. You may or may not leave the skins on for a more rustic look, or you may peel them.

3. Assemble the Apples: Assemble slices of apple overlapping one another in rows along the scored border. Let them extend a little so it’s pretty.

4. Add Sugar and Spice: Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl; sprinkle evenly over the top of the apples. A light brushing of melted butter will add richness. Bake the Tart Place in the oven and bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden with a puffed edge at most places and the apples have begun to tenderize.

5. Shiny Glaze: Pour Now, at this stage, when the tart is still warm, spoon over the apricot preserves or honey over the apples. You may want to warm it a little to get it runny to brush it all over the apple for that great shine of added sweetness.

6. Cool and Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice. Serve warm over vanilla ice cream, or top with whipped cream; the tart is beautiful without any of this either.

Here are a few things that may make your Apple Tart perfect

Toss some crunch on top of your apples before baking – chopped walnuts and/or pecans
If you are trying to get the apples balanced between sweet and tart flavors, you may need to use a combination of varieties.

Make it your own! Drizzle with caramel sauce on top, a sprinkle of nutmeg or a handful of dried cranberries adds a holiday feel.

Easy Apple Tart Puff Pastry is one of those perfect fall-gathering recipes or anything you want something cozy and delicious. Bon appétit!
